1. Who we are
Service Wave LLC operates the Uplift AI Labs brand and the Raven AI robotics platform. We partner with summer camps, schools, and learning centers to deliver hands-on robotics and AI education, and we provide the Raven app for controlling robot arms, building skills, and running on-device or cloud vision features.

2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Our public websites and landing pages (including partner and waitlist forms)
- The Raven desktop and mobile applications
- Related cloud services that power Raven accounts, skill publishing, and optional cloud vision
It does not cover third-party websites or services that we do not control (for example, Hugging Face when you choose to use a personal access token to download gated models).
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account and profile information
When you create a Raven account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Authentication is provided by Amazon Cognito. After you sign in, we may sync a cloud profile (such as username, name, and email associated with your account) to our backend so features like skill publishing can identify you.
3.2 Website and partner inquiry information
If you submit a partner inquiry, waitlist, or similar form on our website, we collect the information you provide, which may include first and last name, email address, phone number, organization name, organization type, student or camper count, and interest type. This information is sent to our cloud API so we can respond to your request.
3.3 Camera images and vision inputs
Raven may use your device camera (or configured network cameras) for robotics vision skills, on-device AI, presence detection, and related education features. Camera access requires your permission through the operating system.
- Cloud vision (optional): If you choose a Cloud VLM (vision-language model) mode, camera frames and related prompts may be sent securely to our API and processed by Amazon Bedrock for inference.
- Local vision: If you use an on-device model (Local VLM), frames are processed on your device for that inference path.
- Photo library: You may optionally pick images from your photo library for testing vision skills, avatars, or promotional images associated with skills you create.
3.4 Skills, trajectories, and robot-related data
Skill drafts, recorded robot trajectories, calibration data, and similar content are stored on your device by default. If you choose to publish a skill to the cloud, the published package may include skill configuration, trajectory data, and optional avatar or promotional images, which are uploaded to our cloud storage for catalog and download features.
Live robot joint telemetry used for teleoperation and recording is exchanged with the robot over your local connection (for example USB, Wi‑Fi, or Bluetooth) and is not continuously uploaded to our servers for analytics.
3.5 Device permissions and local credentials
- Camera / photos: for vision skills and related features described above
- Bluetooth / local network: to discover, provision, and control robots on your network
- Wi‑Fi credentials during robot setup: when you provision a robot over Bluetooth, SSID and password may be written to the robot for local connectivity; they are not sent to Uplift AI Labs cloud services for that provisioning flow
- Optional Hugging Face token: if you supply a personal Hugging Face read token to download gated on-device models, that token is stored on your device and used to authenticate downloads from Hugging Face
3.6 Presence detection (on-device)
Some camp and classroom features use on-device face and/or hand detection to trigger skills (for example, presence on a shared tablet). These detection pipelines are designed to run locally and are not used as a cloud identity or marketing profile system.
3.7 Communications
If you email us (for example at contact@upliftailabs.com), we collect the content of your message and any contact details you include so we can respond.
4. What we do not collect
Based on our current product design, we do not:
- Use third-party product analytics or advertising SDKs in the Raven app
- Collect precise geolocation for tracking
- Collect biometric identifiers for identity verification
- Record microphone audio for voice capture (the app may use on-device text-to-speech to speak messages)
- Sell personal information
Our website currently does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure accounts, and provide signed-in Raven features
- Respond to partner, school, camp, and waitlist inquiries
- Operate optional Cloud VLM inference when you enable it
- Host and distribute skills you choose to publish
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the security and reliability of our services
- Comply with law and enforce our terms and policies
- Communicate with you about the services when you contact us or request information
6. Local processing vs. cloud
Stays on your device unless you take an action that uploads it: local skill drafts, recorded trajectories (before publish), local VLM inference frames, presence detection frames, policy training episodes stored locally, and robot control telemetry.
Sent to our cloud when you use the related feature: account credentials and profile data; website form submissions; Cloud VLM prompts and frames; published skill packages (including trajectories and images included in the package).
8. Children’s privacy
Raven and our camp curriculum are designed for educational use with students roughly ages 8 and up, typically in summer camps, schools, and after-school programs. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes.
Accounts and partner/organization contacts are intended to be created and managed by adults (such as parents, guardians, teachers, camp operators, or school administrators). If a child uses Raven on a shared camp or classroom device, that use should be under adult supervision and organizational policies.
Camera and vision features process images to support robotics education (for example, detecting objects or presence to trigger a skill). Organizations deploying Raven should configure cloud vs. on-device vision modes appropriately for their environment and policies.
If you believe we have collected personal information from a child in a manner inconsistent with this policy or applicable law (including COPPA), contact us at contact@upliftailabs.com. We will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete information as appropriate.
9. Retention and deletion
- Account and cloud profile data are retained while your account remains active and as needed to provide the service.
- Published skills remain available according to our skill catalog and your publishing choices until removed or your account deletion request is processed.
- Website inquiry data is retained as needed to respond to your request and for ordinary business records.
- Local app data can typically be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the app from the device.
To request deletion of your Raven account or associated cloud data, follow the steps on our Delete Account page, or email contact@upliftailabs.com from the email address on the account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. In the Raven app, open Settings → Delete Account.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the nature of the data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) for our APIs, cloud authentication via Cognito, and platform secure storage for session credentials where supported by the operating system. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and protect devices that store local skill or camera data.
11. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know/access, delete, and correct certain personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
Categories of personal information we may collect are described in Section 3 (for example, identifiers such as name and email; internet or electronic activity related to account use; and sensory data such as camera images when Cloud VLM is enabled).
To exercise rights, contact contact@upliftailabs.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell personal information.
12. International transfers
Our primary cloud infrastructure is operated in the United States (including AWS region us-west-2). If you access the services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
13. Third-party services and links
The App and website may link to third-party sites (including Hugging Face model pages and terms). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Enabling Cloud VLM or publishing skills means related content is processed by our AWS-backed services as described above.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or by email when appropriate. Continued use of the website or Raven after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
